The Lady and the Yankee Spy

Spent the morning making cookies. Thought I'd try the Stir and Drop Oatmeal Cookies recipe from The Betty Crocker Cooky Book. I have tons of oatmeal and tons of canola oil, so I thought this particular version was perfect. I replaced the regular flour with whole wheat flour, but otherwise followed the recipe. Yum. Nutty and crunchy and just sweet enough.

Returned to Jack of All Trades while eating breakfast and baking. "X Marquis the Spot" at a tropical paradise...that happens to be run by the infamous Marquis De Sade, fetishist supreme. The Marquis has stolen King George's crown. To get into his den of iniquity, Emilia will have to find her dominating side, while Jack ends up on the short end of the leather leash.

King George himself turns up in "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Opera," the first season finale. His fabled madness has already begun to take hold...making him an obvious target for an assassination attempt. Jack and Emilia find themselves at the opera, checking every single person for weapons. But the killer is in the least-likely place...

The second season kicks off with another visit from European royalty in "A Horse of a Different Color." Russian Czarina Katherine the Great threatens to blow up the island unless someone returns her beloved race horse within 24 hours. Meanwhile, Jack and Emilia become nouveau riche when Jack's "system" wins big at the island's new race track.

Headed to work around noon.Thankfully, it was fairly quiet, and I didn't really do a whole lot. I mostly cleaned Registers 10, 9, and the majority of 8. I'll do more tomorrow morning. Spent the last hour outside. I was glad. It was a nice day, sunny and blue and a little too warm for this time of year, probably in the lower 70's.

Grabbed parchment paper really quick, then headed home. Worked on writing for the rest of the evening. As Poe takes Charles, Rey, Snap, and Kaydel downstairs, Baby the corgi pup leads Leia and her group to Han's hat on the mantel. She's the one who discovers the opening behind the fireplace. Finn hears clanking as they walk down the long staircase. It's Phasma in armor, trying to spook them. Leia, who has a gun, gets the girl to take them to Snoke's laboratory.

Finished the night with dinner and Lego Star Wars. Started with "Speeder Showdown," one of the longer rounds in the Jedi level. Got the red brick and all but one piece there. I still can't figure out how to get into the skiff in "The Great Pit of Carkoon," and I died too much to get True Jedi on "Jabba's Palace." Got a few more pieces in "Count Dooku."
