Spent most of a cloudy morning and early afternoon working on my writing. Jabba, who has transformed himself into a handsome merman, is using Han's voice to lure Leia. It's starting to work...until Luke bursts into the room to defend his his sister, followed by Chewie. That wakes up Leia in a hurry. She nearly strangles the merman, trying to get him to tell her where he got Han's voice from. Not that he actually does. He vanishes before she can get any information out of him. She's mad, but at least Luke is pretty close to his normal self now...and they're getting closer to the center...
Watched Goldie & Bear during breakfast and late while eating a quick lunch and getting ready for work. "Bear's Red Shoes" will allow him to dance with Goldie at a big dance. The Big Bad Wolf decides he wants them for himself. Goldie and Little Bear claim they're "Goose Sitters" when Jack leaves them in the care of the goose that laid the golden eggs. They discover just how hard it is to take care of a pet when the goose gets loose. The giant is saying "Fe Fi Foe Shoe" when his drops out of the sky and onto Goldie and Little Bear's playing field. The woman who lives in the shoe and her family move in, but the giant wants it back. Goldie becomes "Little Gold Riding Hood" when she borrows the famous cape. Turns out Red really likes to keep it clean, not an easy thing to do when the Big Bad Wolf is lurking about, trying to steal her muffins!
Work wasn't too bad. We were on-and-off busy, mostly due to this being the beginning of the month and the last day of a four-day-sale. I spent three of the four hours I was there either in the register or doing returns. Unfortunately, by the time the second bagger was finished, it was 5 PM, the height of rush hour. She actually had the nerve to come over and tell me to turn off my light and leave my long line, I had to do carts. Well, I'm sorry, but I can't be in two places at once, and the customers are more important. A manager came in for me so I could get the carts done.
Charlie was scraping moss and debris off the roof and clearing out the gutters when I arrived. As soon as he finished, I jumped in the shower, then had leftovers for dinner. Ran another Goldie & Bear episode while I ate. Goldie's excited to go on a "Moon Jump" riding the cow over the moon, but Little Bear is disappointed that he can't join her. The Big Bad Wolf's brother Phil has become "The Big Good Wolf." He wants to be nice to everyone. His sibling tries to do the same to spend time with him, but it's not easy.
Finished out Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures after dinner. I was disappointed that "Trouble In the Sky" wasn't a flying round (though you did get to send the flocks of birds to mess with the Nazi airplanes, like Professor Jones did in the movie). It was a basic build-and-jump, but the falling bombs and falling pilots made it a LOT harder than most of them. "Desert Ambush" wasn't easy, either. You first have to use horses to jump to the right places, then build bombs to blow up a tank, then have to knock guys off and away from the tank!
Ironically, after all that, the last round wasn't nearly as hard. Needless to say, there was a lot of puzzle-solving and a lot to do with the books and the symbols...but I can understand why they added a boss round to this in Lego Indiana Jones 2. Just picking up the Grail is kind of anti-climatic (and a little boring) once you figure out where the Grail is.
Speaking of Lego Indy 2, the next time I play video games, I'm either going to go back there and see if I can get to 100%, or start Super Mario 2 on Mario All-Stars.
Oh, and to date, it still hasn't rained. It's just been very cloudy and humid all day. It may have rained a tiny bit this morning, but it hasn't since. At the very least, it's also windy and a lot cooler than it has been, probably in the lower 80's.
