Question Me An Answer
When a cashier asks you if you have any large items or anything under your cart, they are NOT doing this to accuse you of stealing. They ask this question because it's their jobs to ask. Many customers forget things in their carts, and especially items on the grilles underneith. I've been scolded about not asking for under-the-cart items twice in the past year.
This is the second time in the past week a customer blew up at me because I asked them about items under the cart. IT IS PART OF MY JOB TO ASK! I don't like it myself, but I don't really want to hear about it from my bosses. I have to put stickers on all large items, too. It's better than someone stopping you and asking you what's in your cart.
