Beautiful Summer

Began another sunny morning with breakfast and Goof Troop. Max and PJ are "Slightly Dingy" when they convince their dads to take them fishing off Sunken Reef, where a pirate's sunken treasure can be found. Max is hoping to net big bucks, but all the end up netting is a shark and a lot of trouble.

Spent the next hour or so online. I don't know where to go next with my Facebook business page. I don't have the money to pay for ads, and I keep forgetting to save. I need another way to share my writing. I think it's time I made a better website. I have one...but it's rather plain, and I share it with my best friend Lauren (it has a lot of our Bowery Boys fanfiction). That one will stay up (those Bowery Boys stories can't be found anywhere else), but I need something more professional. (And easier to update.)

Broke for lunch at 11. I made a blackberry-blueberry smoothie while continuing Goof Troop. Pete's looking forward to a relaxing couple of days when Peg takes the kids on a trip. He ends up getting "Cabana Fever" when Goofy saves his life and won't leave him alone. He gets so fed up, he takes a plane to a Caribbean island...and even then, Goofy manages to follow.

Headed out after I cleaned up from lunch. Work was no trouble whatsoever. I spent the day alternating between doing the sweeping inside and the carts and trash outside with the head bagger, and I was very happy to be outside when I got there. The weather couldn't have been nicer for early July. It was hot, but not humid, and there was a nice breeze that cooled me off.

I needed a few things after work. While my elbow's feeling better, my finger and hip are still really sore. I bought the Acme's generic Icy Hot pads buy one, get one to make work a little more bearable. Pulled a small bag of dark chocolate mini Reeces cup out of a clearance cart.

Went straight into writing when I got home. Luke and Rudy are lost looking for Dagobah, despite Rudy's protests that he knows what he's doing. They run into a police blockade. Fortunately, the policewoman in charge is Officer Ahsoka Tano, a former Jedi and old friend of Rudy's. She offers to give them an armed escort to Dagobah.

Broke for dinner at 6:30. Made beef stir fry with the last of the grilled steak strips from the 4th of July while watching more Goof Troop. Goofy convinces Max to become a volunteer fireman (with their cat Waffles) in "Where There's Smoke, There's Goof." They don't have much more to do than clean the ancient (sentient) fire truck while the chief and his head man try to extract donations for a new fire truck. Goof and Max get a chance to show their stuff when one of the tower home of one of the town's richest citizens is on fire, and they have to save him and his adored goldfish.

Goofy has a "Date With Destiny" when Max claims he's getting married to avoid explaining why he's falling asleep at school. Peg convinces Goof to sign a computer dating form, but Pete decides to play a prank and convinces a handywoman to come instead. She thinks she's doing repairs and ends up destroying Goof's house. Max stays over Pete's while the house is being repaired, but father and son can't stand being away from each other for that long.

Ended the night with Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. Did the Bounty Hunter Missions and individual round bonuses tonight to get the remaining gold bricks. Had no trouble anywhere. I had to do one Bounty Hunter Mission twice, and got a few by the skin of my teeth, but I did get all 20. (Including ones that normally give me trouble, like the Jedi Council member Ki-Aldi Mundi.)

I'm now up to 87 percent, but that's not the whole game. Tomorrow, I'll start the extra-long Super Stories that run through the entire movie levels without extras.
